14 verses 13 through 14. And this is Jesus speaking, teaching his disciples and the others

who were around. And in the context, he's been speaking about the reality of what it means

to believe in him, the benefits that come from that. And here in verse 13, he's going

to begin speaking about a prayer benefit that comes about from being united to him in faith.

He says, whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified

in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. Now, friends, it's easy to

hear a statement like this and take it entirely out of its context. And by that, I don't

mean we intentionally are distorting the meaning. What I mean is, is we take this couple
