God is, and let me ask you this, at what times in your life is your awareness of the presence of God

most important? And I want you to turn, if you will, to Acts chapter 17. And Paul, who had been over in Thessalonica

doing such a wonderful job preaching the gospel and was so popular, they said about him,

these men have upset the world. They've come here also. Wouldn't you love to have that be tagged

onto you, that your witness for a gospel is so strong you're upsetting

the world. Folks don't want you around. So Paul is there and he begins in verse 22 of Acts 17.

He stood in the midst of the Oropicus and said, men of Athens, I observe that you are very

religious in all respects. They probably nodded amen to that. For while I was passing through and examining

the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription to an unknown God.

And then he begins, what therefore you worship in ignorance, what he probably said in his breath,

I'm about to tell you what it's all about. What you therefore worship in ignorance, what he probably said in his breath, I'm about to tell you what it's all

about. What you therefore worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world

and all things in it, since he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with

hands. Neither is he served by human hands as though he needed anything,

since he himself gives to all life and breath and all things. And he made from one, every nation of

mankind, to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries

of their habitations, that they should seek God if perhaps they might grope for him and find him.

Though he is not far from each one of us, for in him that is in God, we live that is in His presence. We live and move and

exist, as even some of your own poets have said, for we also are his offspring. Paul said,
