Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Grave right here on Talk

TV. We've got plenty to do today. It's quite a nice day. It's a bit chilly out there

for a spring day in the middle of April, towards the end of April, nearly May.

We're going to talk about civil service. Apparently they want to work a four-day week,

which I can only assume is an increase in the three-day week that they're currently doing. I don't know.

There doesn't seem to be an awful lot of civil servants walking around the streets of London,

because many of them are, of course, working from home.

You might remember Jacob Rees-Mogg and his campaign to get everybody back to the office,

which doesn't seem to have done terribly well.

He doesn't seem to have done terribly well over in Sudan either, where the ambassador, British ambassador to Sudan, doesn't seem to be around and neither does the Chief of Security seem to be around either.

We'll talk to William Pleister who's here from the STP this morning to find out what he makes

of all of that.

Plus we'll be talking about doctors being tempted to work overseas.

We'll also be keeping an eye on the COVID inquiry because they're looking up what the WhatsApp texts were going between ministers at the time of COVID and the time of the lockdown and all of that.

We'll also be talking about the Albanians coming to this country on small boats.

As it turns out, the numbers have plummeted after the launch of the removal scheme.
