I do not.

I ask only that we give each other the benefit of the doubt,

that we wrestle with ideas we reject,

as well as those we think are right.

Let's escape the dogmas of conventional wisdom.

Let's have conversations that straddle the cultural divide

and make us all just a little uncomfortable.

Today on the show, the feminist who feminists love to hate.

Well, not all feminists, obviously, many feminists love to hate. Well, not all feminists, obviously.

Many feminists love her, including her.

I mean, being a feminist herself, I'm sure she loves herself.

And I'm something of a feminist, so I would put me in that basket as well.

So there are at least two feminists in the world who love Christina Hoffsummers,

her and me.

She's a philosopher, and she was a pioneering thinker about feminism. She came of age in the 60s and 70s, but really wrote about feminism

most powerfully in the 90s, arguing for what she thinks of as a kind of equity feminism,

meaning a sort of classical liberal feminism, a libertarian feminism, which might be contrasted

against victim feminism or gender feminism. She doesn't want to frame feminism as being something that has an irrational hostility

towards men. She wrote a book in 1994 called Who Stole Feminism in 2000? Another book called The War
