Hello and a very warm welcome to film stories with Simon Brew.

I am Simon Brew. As always, that's everything you need to know about me.

What the aim of this podcast is, though, is to tell the stories of films.

And I tend to talk about production stories, marketing stories, release stories, all sorts of bits and bobs really.

Basically, the things that go and make the films that we know and sometimes love just that, the films that we know and sometimes love.

This particular episode of film stories is one of my special episodes where I bring

in a filmmaker to talk about their work and their body of work and basically how they've gone

about getting to where they are now. And I'm really delighted to welcome back to the podcast, Sarah Smith.

Now, I spoke to Sarah a few episodes ago now when the film Ron's Gone Wrong was released in cinemas.

The first film from Britain's latest digital anime, well first really, major digital animation studio, Locksmith Animation,

a company that Sarah set up along with Julie Lockhart and Ron's Gone Wrong has taken, took a long, long time to get to the screen.
