Sometimes children with autism and or ADHD struggle with understanding time.

They have trouble seeing past the moment.

It doesn't come so naturally for them to see what's coming up in the future, to plan for

goals.

And this explains why also they have trouble seeing the future consequences

of their own behavior. They are kind of stuck in this, what they want or what they don't want

in that moment. And that can kind of set up some difficult situations for them. Oftentimes,

I see that differently why wired children kind of struggle with

this idea that their non-preferred activities were literally take forever, and they will

never get to do what they want. So it can be difficult as far as parenting and teaching students. It could be

difficult as a therapist to recognize that engaging differently with our children and things that

they may not necessarily want to do. I mean, it's really hard for them. It's not that they just

don't want to do it. It feels like's really hard for them. It's not that they just don't want to do it.

It feels like it is infinity for them, infinity, that they'll have to do these terrible things

that they don't like or that they feel uncomfortable to them. Again, this is another reason
