But the relief of comedy is it take things that aren't funny

and it allows us to laugh about them for an

hour. We got a purple suit to buy in a gigantic clothen. Why are you laughing? The evening,

everybody. Welcome to another episode of Why You Laughing, a history of comedy podcast. And today,

I am pleased to introduce to you Impressionists, a staple in the stand-up world for the last 60 years or so.

I feel like every generation has essentially had, you know, one or two people that are not just impressionists, but only known for impressions.

And that trend has kind of died down, people that do great voices now kind of branch out and also do other

things. So I felt, you know, the evolution of impressions and impressionists deserve some dissecting.

So that's what we're going to do today. I will warn you, this isn't so much, you know, if I was making a

documentary about impressionists, I probably wouldn't lean this heavily on just people I enjoyed.

So this is a lot of just people I liked I've included.

So just beware of that going through.
