I will be brief, but a rather significant update when it comes to season three, our current season, especially, and when it comes to the podcast as a whole.

This update deals with the 1995 disappearance of Jody Hoosenthrut and our coverage of it. And as you've been

following along over the last 15 months, we have produced 14 episodes dealing with this case

alone, main episodes, not counting bonus content. We have laid out the details of the case for

you. We have dug into the research. We have interviewed

as close to eyewitnesses as there are in this case. We've interviewed friends and family and law

enforcement and Jody's neighbors and anybody else we could get our hands on who might know something

about what happened on that day. We have examined and re-examined suspects that have

come up over the years. We've brought forward details and firsthand accounts of what happened on

that morning in ways that have never been done before. And it might seem like there's nothing more

we can do. But as events in Mason City dealing with a billboard vandalization,

a couple of weeks ago show, that's not true. Because in this case, you never know what's

around the next bend. And as for as cold as Jody's case is, there is a feeling at the same time

that an answer or something significant might be

around the corner too. So we are coming up on the 25th anniversary of Jody's disappearance,

and that will be in June. And the talk around the case right now, among those of us who follow

it very closely, is that things are only going to get stranger

and crazier and busier.

There are going to be television specials.

There are going to be online news stories by the dozens.

All kinds of media attention from all kinds of different directions.
