All month long on our voter game plan series, we've brought you highlights about the top

races for the June primary election. This week on the show, for the final installment in our

series, we're focused entirely on key races to watch in Orange County. We'll cover hotly

contested races for major positions that control how the county spends billions of taxpayer dollars,

a job that oversees an education system of nearly a half million students,

plus two races where troubling allegations have been made against candidates.

These jobs can be overlooked but hold a lot of power, and there can be

potential for abuse, especially when that power goes unchecked. O.C. Supervisor Doe used

a secretive process to award millions to his daughter's nonprofit without disclosing his family

relationship. The voters, of course, have the ability to check that power during an election.
