2:35.4 | And he talks about this as a world cross investor who's like look sometimes the time horizon is longer than your lifetime. |
2:42.0 | But the things can happen in your lifetime so you have to understand them. And he talks about how early in his career the US dollar got devalued when they left the gold standard. |
2:51.7 | And he was like okay that's new so that was in the early 70s. And he's very very concerned that we're doing it again. |
2:57.4 | That we're going through a massive devaluation. What's interesting is listening to him talk I heard many many crypto enthusiasts talking as well. |
3:06.6 | Because there are a lot of folks who are in the crypto who are like hey they're debasing the dollar they're debasing the dollar. |
3:11.2 | And one of the things that Ray talks about is that since 1700 75% of the currencies that were in effect over that time have ceased to exist. |
