Romans chapter 4, verses 20 and 21.

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God,

but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.

I love this description of Abraham in Romans chapter 4.

The whole argument Paul is making here is that we are saved by God's grace

through faith alone, not through our works. So he's talking about Abraham's faith here. And I love

this description of his faith, his trust in God, and specifically God's promises. He said, no unbelief made Abraham a waiver concerning the promise of God.

He didn't waver at all.

He knew God's promise was solid and he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.

It brings so much glory to God to trust in his promises.

It's good for us and glorifying to God to trust in his promises to live. Verse 21, fully convinced

that God is able to do what He has promised.

And I just want to encourage you to live that way today,

convinced that God is able to do what He has promised,

that He will be faithful to you today according to all of his promises. And you just think about all of his

promises. His promises to be with you. His promises that he's for you. His promise to work everything

you're walking through together for your good as you trust in him, for your conformity to the image of Jesus. His promise

that he will supply all that you need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. His promise

to give you peace that passes all understanding as you lift everything in your life in prayer and petition to

him. His promise to give you strength, no matter what this world throws at you today, his promise

to meet you with new mercy, not just every morning, but at every moment. Oh, we could keep going
