Immigration. Key fact number one, the annual cost of illegal immigration to the American taxpayer.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, in

23, illegal immigration costs the United States, meaning the taxpayer, at least $150 billion.

Some note the costs as high as $451 billion, as reported by House Republicans.

Key fact number two, the relative cost of the border wall.

Most estimates for the one-time cost of President Donald Trump's proposed border wall come in between $11 billion and $20 billion, with the biggest outlier being a 2017 estimate by Senate Democrats that put the cost at $70 billion.

So comparing key fact number one and two, the cost of the border wall, splitting the difference at $20 billion or so, would still be far less than the recurring cost of a

minimum of $150 billion, all the way up until $451 billion.

Key fact number three, illegal immigration and crime. While the numbers are granted hard to study because

there haven't been many thorough studies conducted on the matter, we do know that illegal immigrants

make up 27 percent currently of the federal prison population while only making up 9 percent of the

general population. And of course, a key bonus fact here is that 100% of crimes committed by illegal immigrants

should never have happened in the first place.
