Guess who's back back again. Moch, we missed you. I am Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.

0:18.8

And Jill, as of the last time I was here, this is the place where we try to read all the news and read between the lines.

0:24.0

So you don't have to. I assume that's still the case.

0:26.2

Funny you say that I took it out for about two or three days. I heard from a few people who were like, I miss in between the lines.

0:33.8

Can you put it back? And I'm like, you know what? Sure. Why not? So I think for now we're sticking with we read in between the lines as well.

0:40.8

The people, they're whetted to the motto. They're whetted to it. Moch, it is so great to have you back. And your trip looked absolutely incredible.

0:49.2

Jill, it was a really emotional, powerful trip. I had the opportunity to follow a group of migrants 111 Ethiopian Jews immigrating to Israel, dealing with adversity, discrimination in Ethiopia, and follow them as they reunite with family members in Israel.

1:11.1

It just don't happen as I was arriving there. That's when the conflict was heating up again to Israel and the Palestinians and the Gaza Strip.

1:17.6

So also documented a bit of that, which I did a bit of on Fridays podcasts for those curious and looking to learn more about my journey. We posted a bit of it on the Instagram feed on the monos Instagram feed on Sunday.

1:29.6

So be sure to check that out. I will have more on a future podcast as well. And I will say this being able to up close in person, document the journey of those making immigration was really eye opening.

1:42.6

And I mentioned this on the Instagram feed. Jill took me back in a time machine as the son of a Moroccan immigrant who did that journey in the 1960s. And the grandson on the other side of a German immigrant who made that journey in the 1930s, being able to see that in person was was really powerful, really emotional. And one of those stories, Jill, and I know you've probably dealt with this in the past before, where it was hard to separate yourself from the story.

2:06.6

Absolutely. There's some stories that just kind of get under your skin. And I totally get it. Well, most thank you for taking us along on that journey, really incredible stuff.

2:17.6

And we'll definitely be talking more about it here in the podcast. For now, though, we hope everybody had a great weekend, a really happy Mother's Day. Thanks for checking out our Mother's Day edition, where we interviewed our moms. We got tons of really good feedback and really appreciate that.

2:33.6

Yeah, that was a lot of fun too, interviewing our moms. If you haven't heard that podcast, definitely check that out. I think it went up on the feed late last week, just as I was coming back. Jill, how was your Mother's Day?

2:42.6

My Mother's Day, as I mentioned on our Mother's Day podcast is I don't I don't totally feel like it's about me. I still feel like it's about my mom and my mother-in-law. But we had a really great day. The weather was was awesome. We hosted here. We had a ton of people over. No complaints. Lots of fun. Lots of family. That's what it's about. Am I a hallmark card? What do you think?

3:02.6

Did I sell it? Did I sell Mother's Day? Jill, you got 364 days till the next one.

3:09.6

All right, most, you missed a ton of news. I hope I made you proud with this podcast all week. Let's get to the headlines.
