Welcome to another edition of Golick and Smeddy. I am Mike Golick Sr. She is Jess Matana.

We definitely have some serious stuff to talk about down where you are with, you know, the

possibility of the hurricane approaching, how it's going to affect sports. But I mean, it obviously

goes beyond sports. But right now, before we get into the sports part of it, what is, and obviously

this is being taped earlier in the week, where are we with everything with the hurricane and the

path? Well, luckily, I'm based out in Miami and we're going to miss the worst of the hurricane,

but we've already had tons of flooding here. It's rained nonstop

for like a day, Mike. It's crazy. I had to move all my plants indoors. So yeah, it's kind of scary.

I'm still not, I'm not a native South Floridian. So this is like, I'm always like, oh my God,

what am I supposed to do? And then all my coworkers make fun of me. And they're like, well, this is a category four or higher. We don't do anything. And that just seems irresponsible. But yeah, I went out to the store and bought some waters because I'm a little, a little squeamish. But yeah, it sounds like Tampa is going to get hit pretty hard. So we're definitely thinking about all the people that are going to be impacted by it.

And hopefully it doesn't do as much damage as, you know, it might be predicted to do.

So hoping those people are all right.

Yeah, we'll talk about that a lot from the sports side of it, but certainly the life side of it is way more important.

You mentioned something interesting there.

A few things before we get into that.

You moved your plant inside.

So, okay, I mean, I get it.

Now, I know you're not from there.

So is this a plant that you got down there that is still supposed to be outside or all of a sudden you're doing this taking care of plant thing or moving around? What are you doing? Yeah. You know, Mike, we're supposed to get heavy wind, Gus. And I don't want my plant to get hurt. And then there's also like the very small possibility that like a wind will pick up this plant and like slam it into my window right so it's

kind of like you got to be extra careful for property but also like i don't want i don't want my

plant to get hurt i care about this plant deeply i brought it back to life several times uh after

going out of town and abandoning it and so yeah i'm hoping that it it does better inside than outside
