And we kick off with Philip Schofield,

who feared his coming out interview would look like a publicity stunt.

I have to be honest, if you're going to do a publicity stunt,

I mean, why would you go, oh, I think I'm gay?

That's not a publicity stunt, you're either gay or you're not gay. But he, and he's obviously not. He must be bisexual. He's, he's been married, he's got children. You know, I don't know many gay men who've got children, put it that way. so he must be bisexual, but he's also detailed the careful planning that went on behind the scenes.

the biggest one you could tell is philip is why the sun were there in the studio on the

day you happen to do it that would be very interesting thank you very much indeed and also

the the big question is did you have a boyfriend when you came out? Did you have somebody that you were with?

Was the rumours? He's actually said because there was some terrible stories doing the rounds on the

internet from people sort of saying, oh, he's been forced out. Because it's happened before,

and I've heard it with certain newspapers where they've gone to the artist, the person who they know to be gay,

and they've said, listen, why don't you give us the story? It's going to be a lot better, isn't it, if you do it this way? Now, why was it that the sun were there in the studio on that morning that Philip Schofield decided to come out? But he didn't tell us anything. We didn't, We didn't need to know what was going on, really.

It's got nothing to do with us.

If somebody's gay or if somebody's straight or somebody's bisexual or somebody likes to wear leather or somebody likes to wear rubber or they like to dress up as a wallflower, it doesn't make any difference to us. Why would it make any difference? He says, I owe it to our viewers because you know it's all the family. They have to be the first to hear.

Yeah, but people knew about Philip Schofield years ago. This wasn't something a big surprise. You know, like when H from Steps came out. I mean, that was a bit of a surprise to us, wasn't it? Or Bobby Cole Norris and Tower. You know, all these people were big shocks to us. I mean, it didn't actually make any difference to me.

I was more interested in whether or not he's had a boyfriend.
