The night may be long and the dark may be deep, but the answers are there to be found. Whether it's the normal,

to open up the program tonight just you know talking about something a little bit

personal because one of the things we do chat about on this show often is how

important the animals in our lives are our pets our dogs our cats our

horses whatever they happen to be.

And when you lose one, it's kind of difficult, especially one that's been in the family for a long

time, long time. And my black lab, Fritzie, lost a battle with a little bit of a health issue

today. She had gone in for surgery on Monday for some superficial things.

It wasn't particularly life-threatening, but it needed to be done.

And because she's 15 years old, there's always risks involved.

She came home.

She seemed okay.

And that was a little 36 hours ago.

And today she just started to develop some complications and she didn't make it and she's already left a great big hole and void in this house

so I did want to share my daughter Alex's words because I thought she kind of summed it up pretty
