| 0:03.0 | Welcome to our Rosary meditation. |
| 0:05.0 | Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. |
| 0:08.0 | Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. |
| 0:16.5 | You may have never considered how important the imagination is in growing closer to Jesus. To get the most out of this great power of the imagination, let me remind you how the soul was designed to work. |
| 0:31.0 | The intellect becomes aware of reality through the five senses, the |
| 0:37.0 | imagination or the memory. The intellect then presents its perception of reality to the feelings as either this is right and good for me or this is wrong and bad for me. |
| 0:51.0 | The feelings respond with either I like this, prompting the will to choose it, or I dislike |
| 0:58.0 | that, prompting the will to avoid it. |
| 1:01.6 | The will then chooses the apparent good and avoids the evil. In this process, |
| 1:10.3 | the feelings are supposed to push you towards what is good, not away from it. |
| 1:16.0 | The first step in that process is resolving to do what is right, regardless of how you feel about it. We meditated on this |
| 1:27.2 | yesterday. This is called checking the passions, resisting the wrong feelings, and if you do it often enough, your feelings |
| 1:39.4 | will begin to fall in line, because at the end of the day your feelings are designed to respond, |
| 1:47.0 | however slowly, to your repeated free decisions. |
| 1:52.0 | So you can retrain your feelings. repeated free decisions. |
| 1:52.8 | So you can retrain your feelings through action. |
| 1:57.2 | But that's not all. |
| 1:58.8 | You can also work at cultivating the right feelings through imagination. This is called |
| 2:06.1 | commanding the passions. Our Father who art in heaven, hallow would be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
| 2:18.0 | Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. |
