One of the things I've noticed has become a

what do you want hot new trend okay well it's not that new a motif is uh is the the

the Netflixification of everything yep that's my 20 letter word for the net yeah I remember when

steam first came out I said there is no way I'm going to buy a game on Steam where they could,

you know, take it away from me. It's just, that seems like an absolutely insane thing to do.

And now, you know, it's just, that's all I use. So what a huge change. Well, now it seems like

the world, and I guess I have one thing in mind we'll talk about here in a second but the world has changed even more so one thing is owning digital assets and I'm not trying

to get into blockchain discussion but yeah but things like steam or Kindle or you know but once

you sort of buy it assuming the service stays up, you can continue to use it.

And I actually find myself reasonably okay with that.

Like I understand the risks are probably not as well understood as we think they are, but I kind of understand it.

And things are much, much more stable now than they were.

I mean, when Steam first came out, you know, I wasn't confident that it would last.

But at this point, you you know i think we could feel

safe that steam will be there in our old age or whatever okay well you have more confidence than me but

um really okay it's a yeah well so the thing i want to talk about though is is sort of the next step

that i i don't know i've not adjusted to as much which is the sort of renting of

everything so on Netflix if I stop paying I lose everything um and now there's uh same thing

I guess both Sony and Microsoft I think I've tried the Xbox one. What is it called? I don't remember.

I'm not a big sort of video gamers.
