Suzanne lives in Florida. Have you always lived in Florida? I was not a natural born Floridian, no, but I have lived here most of my life.

And we know each other through homeschool conventions.

We've known each other now for several years and

subsequently I think the world. It happened in Orlando, Florida every Memorial Day weekend. They're

heading into their 40th anniversary that's next year through the organization

Sure well like you said FPA is going into our 40th year next year serving homeschool families in Florida and we actually

began right before it was even legal to homeschool in the state of Florida. So

FPA has had a history of always supporting legislative

efforts, legally protecting homeschooling in the state of Florida. So that's been

huge for us over the years and at the same time, you know, way back then there was no, so no social media, no anything for people to really connect.

They used phone trees to connect the families

across the state of Florida

and to develop a support group essentially for the state.

And so over the years we just involved and developed into a huge state organization that was a support system providing resources and events.

And for many years, like our signature event was our convention that you mentioned and then I don't know

maybe in the past 15 years we began to add more events along the way. So we have a special needs conference, we have

STEM conferences, we have all kinds of interesting things that we do. Our goal is to walk alongside families who are homeschooling and who need resources to support them,

just to encourage them and to provide them with a community of people who

understands who they are and what they're doing, how they're living their life,
