This podcast was, well, this intro was originally recorded Sunday evening, but then once we got

word that the WHO was going to rule early Monday afternoon, we thought, let's hold it, provide

the most current information and present it to you.

And so, Elliott, that's what we're doing.

The WHO has now ruled and I'll read it out.

During an extraordinary meeting held on Monday, 28th February, the WHO Council evaluated

the impact of the current war.

The WHO strongly condemns the use of military force in Ukraine and urges the use of diplomatic

means to solve conflict.

The WHO Council has decided to take the following actions.

Suspension of all Russian and Belarusian national teams and clubs from participating in every

age category and in all double IHF competitions or events until further notice and the withdrawal

of the 2023 double IHF World Junior Championship hosting rights from Russia, your initial thoughts.

This is what the international hockey world of double IHF had to do.

You look at what's happening in soccer.

You look at what's happening with the Olympic committees.

You take a look at what's happening around the world and I'm sure all of these different

organizations have been in contact with each other.

Russian and Belarus are out.

They're going to be out at least until the end of the summer, I think.

That's one thing that it doesn't say specifically here.
