It's an ordinary winter's day in E, a small town in Finland, just below the Arctic Circle.

The snow came at the end of October and the place looks like a Christmas postcard. Everything is white and the river has frozen over.

Except for a large hall that's been cut through the ice.

It feels so good because it makes you feel alive.

You get this nowhere else.

This might sound like a crazy idea for most people,

but Lena comes here once a week with her team at least five or six other people and they are

ready to jump into the freezing waters of the E yokey River. It's mostly frozen but close to the shore. There is, it's like they

created a little swimming lane or a little swimming pond for people who want to dip into the freezing cold water.

It's minus two degrees, it's very, very cold.

Everything is covered with snow and ice.
