The history of women in the highest reaches of auto racing is a short one.

Only five female drivers have ever entered a Formula One race.

Plaita Liana, Le La Lombardi, competed in 12 races,

but none of them was a woman.

Until today, the only woman has been able to get a point during a competition.

This is the story of one of racing's future female pioneers,

26-year-old Colombian driver or piloto Tatiana Calderón.

She's had a confront many obstacles as a woman in auto racing or auto-mobilismo.

To reach my dream, I was not only to have to prove my abilities as piloto,

but to have to resist the machista culture of auto-mobilismo.

I even had to adapt my car that was designed for the body of a man.
