When a kid says they talk with trees, a dog, or someone only they can see, it's comfortable for us to explain to them (and believe) that it's just their vivid imagination. There is no space for magical gifts in the rational adult world, nor time for it, so kids shut that part of them down. Yet an acute intuition, the ability to communicate with angels or have visions, is so strong in some people that it keeps coming back until they acknowledge the undeniable truth: they are gifted.

Joining me today is the wonderful Deirdre Hade, Modern-Day Mystic and Poet. Deirdre had her first vision when she was three when she saved her four months old brother from getting smashed by a truck in Lake Michigan. She developed Radiance Healing and Radiance Meditation, two forms of energy healing mystical wisdom, now called the Radiance Journey, which she used to heal thousands of people. Deirdre is a member of Jack Canfield's Transformational Leadership Council, the founder of the non-profit The Foundation for Radiance, and the Author of "The (not so) Little Book of Surprises."

In this episode, Deirdre explains what it means to be a mystic, talks about how she came to terms with being a mystic, and describes her first vision.
