It's time to talk Barbie on the IGN UK podcast with me, Simon Cardi, Matt Persler, Hello

This is the big pink Barbie Spectacular, we'll mainly be showing Barbie, we've got a few

of our little bits to talk about, but the whole world is pink at the moment, everyone's

talking about Barbie and Oppenheimer, but we talked about Oppenheimer last week, so let's

give Barbie her time in the spotlight.

Emma, I think it's only right if we start with you, what do you think about Greta Goig's

Barbie?

I absolutely loved it.

Which, like, to be honest, I think we've seen a lot of this movie, like it's had so much

marketing and I've seen so many trailers for it and I was still surprised by it, which

I think is really, really cool.

It very much is pink and fluffy and fun and everything you kind of expect from a movie

about a toy, but it went so much deeper than I was expecting and I just think it's really

beautifully done how it talks about, how it tackles being a woman and being a girl growing

up and maturing into a woman in the real world and how scary it is and how sometimes

it can be kind of horrible as well.

I just thought it was, like, it was handled really, really well.

I love the characters.

I love the pink.
