Welcome to episode 700 of the RGN UK podcast. We did something incredibly special and didn't

just pull this out of the last minute. It's the two mats and it's also the first episode

of Wets. Hi, how's it going? Welcome. Good, thank you. Yeah, the first episode of Wets is something

I might have written when I was a kid on police paper once and just left it behind. But yeah,

it's quite intimidating to be on a to be here and know that people might be listening. So

hopefully I don't mess it up. It's horrifying and it never gets any easier. The greatest thing

though is this is the best IGN podcast out of all of them because A, we get to speak about

everything we're not platform specific and it's the one where you can be a little bit salty

if you're a bit angry about something. We'll say a rude word. No one can stop us.

It's a British way. Yeah, absolutely. So Wes, if you want to give people a little bit of background,

like, you know, people might have heard about you before, might have seen some stuff that you've done.

I won't presume. So I'm the IGN's new UK news editor and I used to work for a UK video game

website called Year Again. I worked there for 13 years in various different roles,

mostly focusing on news. And if any, if I've known for anything in the industry, I guess it's for

investigative reporting, original reporting, interviews, that sort of thing. So when the opportunity

came up to do some of that for IGN, I just couldn't say no. I mean, it's IGN, right? So

yeah. Well, I actually, I am genuinely thrilled. And this is like, for me, this is day five.

And there's been a lot to wrap my head around. But it's been a lot of fun. You have been thrown

into the deep end this week, which we will get into shortly. But first, every time that somebody

joins the show, we have to ask them three very important questions of which the first one is,

what is your favourite game? I mean, this one was, it was easy to think about, because I've
