Good day and welcome to the IGNUK podcast, it's me Simon Cardi with Joe Scribbles.

Hello, Matthew Perslow. Hello, we're going to speak a lot about video game adaptations

0:24.3

this week, but not necessarily ones you've seen in the past, but ones we'd want to see

0:29.6

in the future as we build our own video game, TV and movie streaming services. But before

0:35.1

we do that, the reason we're doing that, and you asked, why Joe, that's because we've

0:39.4

got our first look at the Mario movie yesterday, which I think personally looks banging.

0:45.2

I don't know what you guys think. I'm all in, it looks nice.

0:49.1

I'd say banging is maybe a bit far for me as someone who doesn't have a huge amount

0:54.0

of personal attachment to Mario, but I think it looks exactly why I'd expect a Mario

0:58.2

1:26.4

actual US kind of recording for it, but it's like ultimately, like, yeah, it is the voice

1:31.7

of Mario, the absolute definition of what you desperately need. I think this is the

1:37.8

definition of a grow up situation for a lot of people. The definitions of what you need

1:42.5

for Mario is nothing that could ever be expressed in a movie about Mario. So it's pretty

1:48.3

much a blank slate of just like, that is true. If this looks like a, if this ends up

1:53.8

like the Lego movie, then I'm basically fine with it. If it ends up trying to be serious

1:58.3

or like, maybe a bit wreck it, Ralphie, then I'll probably be a bit annoyed with it.

2:04.4

I think they're going to lean into silly, because if, you know, the minions are silly and
