And we have yet another special guest, a very special one this week.

It's Mr. Neil Blomkemp, the director of District 9,

Elysium and the forthcoming Chappy, which is actually in cinemas today, the

day this drops. So exciting times. How are you doing, Neil? Good man.

Yeah, good. Yeah. How long are you in town for?

I'm in time for like 24 hours. Oh wow. Yeah, so I leave tomorrow for Paris and I got in very recently. I don't know yesterday sometime. Yeah sometime yeah well thanks for giving us a full hour that's yeah

very generous no no no totally so we're going to get onto chappy but we thought we kick off by talking a little bit about movie robots

and I'm wondering what is your favorite

movie robot if you have one?

I'd have to say my favorite movie robot is probably Ed 2009 from Robocop. I think that the the visual lines on it and also how it ties into the

screenplay and what they were going for is amazing. So yeah full-tip it and I think it was designed by Craig Hayes the kind of industrial

Detroit automaker look of that robot is tough to beat.

So that would be my number one robot.

And is he an inspiration on maybe one of the robots

in your new film, Chappy?

He is, yeah.
