documentary, Igal Hecht. How are you doing?

I'm great, God. Thank you so much for having me. It's such a pleasure to meet you.

No problem. Likewise, it's a pleasure to meet you. And I hadn't planned on this, but my, I think, maybe three or four last guests have all been dealing with a region that I had left long ago, but apparently it never leaves you.

I had Douglas Murray on earlier in the week, and then yesterday I had John Spencer on, who's a urban warfare.

He's a colonel. And we spoke about, you know, is the Israeli army the most moral army in the world?

He had some interesting insights about that. And then today I have you to discuss, I almost feel guilty having any sort of happy face

on discussing what is arguably a breathtakingly somber topic.

The Killing Roads is a documentary.

Why don't you start us off there?

How did you get involved in it?

How did you do it?

What was the process?

Right. So the Killing Road is a documentary that explores what happened on Roots 232 and Roots

in Roots 34 on October 7th. These are the two main arteries of the Gaza envelope. And on those

roads, 250 Israelis were savagely murdered by Palestinian terrorists

on October 7th. The way I started making the film is initially when the 7th happened,

I know I was going to make a film about the 7th. And I reached out to my longtime partner in

Israel, Leor Cohen. And we started filming a different film with

Israeli director, Dotaanevae. And that film is going to come out in October, and it deals with

women who survived the massacre of Kibbutzqfar Aza. But while, you know, exploring the seventh

and watching all the footage, I started looking at a lot of footage that Hamas filmed on the roads and the way they savagely murdered so many Israelis.
