Okay. So this happened yesterday, and I had to, and it spurred a conversation that I thought

would be perfect for on air. So I was moseying down the hallway, and I saw Kevin sitting

at his desk. Yeah. And, you know, I sat down and Kevin proceeds to pull out a sandwich

of some sort in a bag. No, I don't know if it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich,

or what, what, is that what it was? Well, it was actually chicken salad. Okay. But Casey

told me for the sake of the segment, it should be PB and J. Well, I think PB and J is making

a comeback, a resurgence. I usually have PB and J to be fair. Well, that's, I think that's

why I thought that, but it doesn't matter. Anyway, so Kevin pulls this sandwich out, and it's

in this little Ziploc bag. You know, many people do this. Yeah. But he looked so sad,

as it dawned on him, the prospect of his meal for the day was whatever was in that bag.

And he looked like a person. I don't know why my mind went here. And it's just absolutely

terrible that it did. But it was like a person who knows this is going to be their last meal

PB and J on death row. And it was like, like somebody who like this, this is it. This is the

prospect that I have for this day. And so Kevin and I, I found out I said, Kevin, if you had

one meal left to have, like they said, you are heading heading to the doors. What would it be?

And he starts shouting from back in his office. And we got down a rabbit hole of how exactly

the last meal for a person on death row operates. Yeah. And it turns out basically every state

is like totally different, different. Yeah. On what you can have, the cost of what you can have,

the what they got to make it, you know, most of the places they got to make it in the prison.

I think universally, we learned you can't have alcohol as a last meal. Right.

Denied requests for alcohol and tobacco. Yeah, no tobacco. So, but I mean, everything. And then

...
