There are times where we do interviews. There are times where it's more of

storytelling and recapping. This one is going to be strictly teaching and I've actually

been doing a lot more leadership, teaching, mindset, coaching, And I heard a statistic the other day. And if you're

not familiar with me, it's good to meet you. I'm glad you're watching this YouTube channel

and listening to our podcast. My name is Steve Weatherford. I played in the NFL for 10 years.

I was a Super Bowl champion. I was twice named the NFL's fittest man. And I say

those things to give myself some credibility that I know what I'm talking about. And this week,

I wanted to do a teaching on the difference between the mindset of an undrafted free agent in the

NFL and the mindset of what most first rounders.

Now there's anomalies. You know, you see you guys get drafted in the first round and have very long careers.

But typically, first rounders don't have as long careers.

And I saw an interesting statistic the other day that undrafted free agents that make the team

rookie year, there is a higher percentage chance that that undrafted free agent that the NFL team

has no money invested into, there is a higher percentage chance that that guy is going to have a decade-long

career, a better percentage than the first round draft picks. And first round draft picks,

I don't know if you're a football fan, but they're the greatest athletes walking the planet.

Man, we're just watching the NFL combine on the TV and looking at some of the times that these guys are running compared to the times that they were running in 2006 when I was at the combine.

It's unbelievable.

And then to look at the physiques and to look at the explosiveness that I sound like, I feel like an old man when I say the game has changed.

And I say those things to say, most of the people that you watch on the TV,

those are going to be the guys that get drafted in the first round and get these multi-million dollar guaranteed contracts.
