When his wife became pregnant with their fourth child, Greg panicked, but a focus on the family counselor put everything into perspective.

I think there's a generation of younger people who have watched families break down. They've seen divorce and they're

thinking, why would I even aspire to marriage? I mean, is it going to work for me? Well, I want to

Aaron, you've got a counseling practice. Do you do much premarital counseling where,

whoops, I'm not sure. I'm a little anxious about this. We have to talk this through because

I know or I've seen. Absolutely. It's interesting. I was working on some research for my doctoral program, specifically

around what is it that this next generation of couples needs in their premarital counseling

that's different from past premarital programs. And one of the things that I found in the

research is the fear of commitment. The fear of commitment in marriage specifically that they want to talk more about that because it's very common, especially you think about the culture that this next generation is growing up in.
