There is a saying that I love that's actually a very well known saying in AA in Alcoholics Anonymous and it's this. If you don't want to slip, don't go where it's slippery.

Now in the context slippery.

Now in the context of AA, I used to go to Al-Anon when I was younger because my father, who was an alcoholic

who died of addiction when I was 19.

In AA, obviously that means if you don't want to drink alcohol,

you may not want to go to places that serve a lot of alcohol.

Maybe you don't want to go to the bar,

the parties where it's all about drinking.

You don't want to go somewhere where there's a group of people
