I understand why people don't celebrate Columbus Day.

But I also am gonna be sad when it like eventually goes away.

He didn't even come to America.

He was going somewhere else and then he found the wrong place and whatever.

But I go like, isn't that what the holiday should be about?

Celebrating the fact that even as failures we can be remembered fondly.

That sort of inspires me.

I look at Columbus and every time I make a mistake in life I go like,

This could be the new America.

The point is I think there's like one part of Columbus that I will celebrate.

And that is, he's taught me that being a failure is not the worst thing in the world.

Sometimes your failure could lead to, I mean, tragic and horrible things.

But also maybe like a new story.
