On Monday, President Trump issued a sweeping pardon of January 6th rioters within hours of taking office, along with dozens of other executive actions.

Here's how he described those plans in his inauguration remarks.

With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.

Well, with these moves, the president is making good on promises for what his allies

have called, quote, shock and awe on his first day. In other words, a strategy designed to disorient

and confuse your ability to digest and understand it all. And so we are going to slow down a bit

and understand some of the details
