You know, it's hard to believe that a week from this Saturday, America will be celebrating her 250th anniversary.

Benjamin Franklin was once asked, as he stepped out of the Constitutional Convention,

what kind of governors the founders

had created? His response is legendary. He said, a republic, if you can keep it. Those five words

carry a warning that rings just as urgently today as it did when he spoke them in 1787.

Well, our guest today here on Dr. James Dobson's family talk is author Eric Metaxus.

He believes that we are in the final moments of keeping that republic, and that most Americans

literally have no idea how close to the edge we have come.

Liberty.
