When I first surrendered to ministry, I had a woman who told me, she said, Beth, walk the aisle of your church, walk the aisle of your church, and tell your pastor that you're making that commitment. Oh, I was so glad I did, because years after that, especially when I fell into sin, I would have looked over my shoulder and I'd have thought if I didn't make any kind of public profession, I'd have thought to myself, you know what, I made that whole thing up? I'm no more called than anybody.

Wasn't even real.

I couldn't do that.

It was too real.

It was too real.

Now what they're doing here, they're acting the thing out.

I'm one of those that believes in that I believe in very physically doing something, acting

something out to make it a very memorable recommitment.

Now what they've done is they've drawn out the water and they've just poured it out on the ground.

What are they signifying? I'm looking at the Hebrew word with you.

I poured it out means to spill forth, to be profusely spent.

Metaphorically, to bear one's soul.

Do you see what they're doing?

They are physically doing what they feel.

I wonder if there's anybody here that can just simply say today,

I am profusely spent.

You didn't know that when you were thinking this morning,

how tired you were, that what you really meant is,

I am profusely spent.

When somebody asked you today, how are you doing?
