Nancy Pelosi and the House of Representatives are going to deliver the articles of impeachment

to the Senate on Monday.

Not quite the Constitution, but the law requires that as soon as those articles of impeachment

are delivered, the Senate has to basically stop everything it's doing and turn into a courtroom

in which the president can be tried.

So there's so much for Mitch McConnell's request to put it off for a month.

I think that his strategy, frankly, was, you know, if we can just ignore this for a while,

things will calm down, people will settle down, and when we acquit Trump or when we refuse

to vote to convict him, nobody will care that much.

I really think that was McConnell's strategy.

And in that, Nancy Pelosi said, thanks, but no thanks, we are going forward with this.

So there we go.
