King, his ninth album. We're going to talk about everything related to Jesus King,

the rollout, IMAX movie, the reaction. We'll also discuss his turn to Christianity and put it all in context

with the other reinventions of his career. Joining me for this Kanyet talk is my esteemed colleague Andrew Godadaro.

Andrew what's the level of your Kanyay fatigue?

Huh.

It's been like four days of K and I'm pretty tired already it's been a journey it's been a journey it's been a journey so let's just start with the weekend in Kanye first of all the 11 track 27 minute album finally dropped after multiple delays, even delays in the day before proceeding at noon, eastern time on Friday.

Also coming out around that time where the aforementioned interview

with Zane Lowe, he did another one, Big Boy.

Also coming out, the accompanying IMAX film, Jesus is King,

which was released on the same day.

But Andrew, let's start with the music first, Jesus is king.

What were your initial impressions of the album?

It's not that bad, right?

Like it's as a piece of music. It's like, oh, okay, this is this is pretty good. Follow God I think is like to stand out. Yeah, and that's the song that I think old fans of Kanya will probably play on

repeat, especially since it's a minute and 45 seconds song.
