and we welcome to the show for the very first time, a two-time All-Star for Kansas City Royals,

the hat backwards guy today, Whitmerfield. How you doing, dude?

I'm great. I hope you're doing all right. Yeah, I'm hanging in there. First of all,

where are you joining us during the offseason? I don't even know where you live.

I live in North Carolina.

Born and raised here, married my high school sweetheart, and it's been a good spot for me.

My dad works for Wake Forest University, and I've always had a key over there to go and get all my hitting and whatnot done over there.

So it's been good.

You know, I looked at Wakeport as a college.

People don't know.

That is a tiny, tiny school.

It's like less than 4,000 students, right?

It's a very small school.

My mom, my dad, my brother, my sister all went there and

love Wake Forest. We went to South Carolina, but I still, I love Wake Forest.

And it's been, Wake has been a tough school to root for throughout the years. But we've

had some good years and football teams coming off a

ACC championship game and basketball teams playing really well. So it's it's a fun time right

now to be a deep. You know, interestingly, I think when I worked at Fox, there were a couple

years I did the college football playoffs. And if I remember correctly, Wake Forest was in one of those big bowls.

I forget if they were in an orange bowl or it was something that I covered big.
