It's fascinating to me to break down the numbers

To look at where the votes came from and who showed up to vote.

And there is a science to the analysis.

There are people who make a living doing this.

And the candidates have access to this information

and they use it to varying degrees of success.

So I thought we'd do a little post-mortem on what happened in this election.

John Cuvier is a political consultant based out of Louisiana and he commented online

some details about and his analysis of the race going into the runoff that went

pretty hard into the data and I thought that's the best I've seen posted.

So the post that got my attention was a thread you put up going into the runoff.

And I'm going to read something you wrote because most people tend to think of these things

in terms of who they like and who they don't. But you made a point that in the

general election, and I can't find the exact post, but I'll summarize it, you made the

point that Sheila dominated some precincts, but that while

that by dominating those precincts and having a narrow batch, she was kind of tapped out.

She had no room for growth.
