If you only had one verse, one verse to rest your faith in, one word from the Word of God,

and you only had one verse that you could pass along to those that you love and those who need truth and help and hope,

Well, for me, that verse would be John chapter 3 and verse number 16, because it really summarizes

everything that I believe. It says, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only

begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What are we learning from John chapter 3 in verse number 16?

Well, we've learned that there are four groups of people or people in the verse. The first is God.

And I'm glad it starts with God. For God so loved the world. We learned that everybody is loved by God.

Here's the second group. It's the world. For God so loved the world. And this word teaches us that

everybody needs to be saved. Everybody needs to be safe. God's not willing that any should perish,

but that all should come to repentance. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for every man.
