What I want to share with you today and probably the very thing that has impacted my life,

the very verse upon which my ministry, my call to the ministry, my whole outlook and life is built.

And from that verse, it takes me to a life of a person, and that life of that

individual, and the scripture has literally been a guide to me, other than, of course, the Lord

Jesus Christ himself. But this man of God in the Bible is a man that whose life I studied very, very closely because

it's so much minister to me personally. And I grew up in Egypt and some of you look at me

and if you did not know me, you would wonder if I'm a son burned swede. With that kind of funny accent.

But I was born in Egypt.

We grew up in the Coptic minority, Christian minority.

There's been in a country there for 2,000 years.

In fact, the Jews who were in the day of Pentecost from Alexandria, if you read in

the book of Acts, there were Jews from Alexandria in Jerusalem,

and they heard the gospel preached by Peter. They came back to Alexandria, and they brought

the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then spread throughout the land, and within a matter of short

period of time, 85% of the population were Christians. And the first theological seminary in the

world was in Alexandria.

So the 10 million or so surviving Copts, that's my ancestors, had a history, tenacious history,

of holding onto the truth of the scripture. Even when Heresis came and go and said,
