Welcome everyone to the PFF Fantasy Podcast, IDP edition. I'm John Macri and the Dynasty

rankings continue to rock on here as we are still in June, not quite 2025 fantasy draft season

just yet, but we're not far now. So naturally, I'm going to continue to break down my Dynasty

IDP rankings for a couple more episodes as we have two positions left both on the defensive line

and today the focus will be on the edge defenders we have a lot of talent at the position to

sort through some big expensive and important names in here and I'll dive in how I've got them

all ranked for Dynasty so let's get it. All right, Dynasty Edges, the one position I'd say where there are a little bit more reliable and stable metrics year-to- year that we can point to. And as many

people might be surprised to hear, one of those metrics is surprisingly not like fantasy points or

points per game. There are, you know, many more key and predictive metrics that we can and

probably should be relying on for this position. And I'll kind of touch on those as we go.

And I think what I'll do at some point as well is I'll create a couple of YouTube,

like exclusive videos kind of covering the data and how it might affect some of our

defensive linemen heading into 2025, maybe in the form of like positive and negative

regression candidates.

So stay tuned for that.

But I will say that one metric that you'll probably hear me reference more than any

other with defensive linemen is a metric that I created a few years back called expected sacks,

as this has proven to be the most stable metric for defensive linemen year to year,

but also the most predictive of future sacks.

That's more than even like playing time, pass rush grade, win rate, pressure rate, and

especially fantasy points.
