All technology we take for granted.

We're all built on research by a black woman.

Your second useless fact, her name was Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, and she earned her Ph.D. in theoretical physics in

1973. She's the first black woman to do so at MIT. And your third useless fact, the very first

commercial telephone service began in 1877, and for decades after, most calls was connected manually by a human operator.
