Identical twins. What happened when you were mistaken for your twin? My twin brother recommended a

restaurant to me, said that he and his wife went there all the time. Good food, really friendly

staff. So, I took my wife there. Food was as advertised, but the service? Somewhere between

cold and openly hostile, like they resented our presence.

I was puzzled by the contrast between what I'd heard and what I saw.

Suddenly from the front of the restaurant there was an explosion of laughter and much rapid talking.

Suddenly the waitress is there, smiling and everything, just as my brother and his wife walk around the corner.

So the restaurant thought my brother was cheating on his

wife with some blonde. Yeah, it's funny now. Not a twin, I'm just Asian, constantly asked about

work projects I'm not involved in. Realize coworkers think that I'm just the other Asian guy.

Oh God, in college I was working on a group project and randomly assigned teams. We had an Asian

team member, and it was a pretty big class of about 60 students. During the first class, after being

assigned groups, we broke up into our teams to begin planning, and I noticed that the Asian kid

looked a bit lost. So I waved him over, figuring he'd got confused among all the moving around. Anyway, we began

delegating out our work and responsibilities and exchanged contact info. Everything was going well

until we were joined by our real Asian group member who was running late. At that point, pretty

much everyone in the group busted out laughing. I went to a party once, and my bald, identical twin bro had yet to arrive.

His girlfriend was already there, so I gave her the obligatory friendly hug, then sat on the

other side of the room to hang out.

This other guy, a mutual friend of his and hers, kept staring at me, then staring at

her, with this real nervous, what the frick, look on his face.

For about 15 minutes, every so often, the guy would look around nervously and then furiously text on his phone.
