This is the continuation of the state's case in chief at jury trial.

I just met with counsel and chambers to discuss a few issues that have come up and

believe we're ready to get started with additional evidence this morning.

I'll note the states here represented by the prosecutors and the defense as well as

the defendant are all present today.

Remind everyone that's in attendance to continue to please comply with the court's conduct order

as it relates to both this courtroom and the remote viewing locations in Ada and Madison County.

And among the items in that order are prohibition against any use of a device to record,

photograph, or transmit any sounds, images or videos from these proceedings.

So with that, I think we're ready to have the jurors brought in and get started with additional testimony.

Is the state ready to proceed this morning yes your

honor is the defense ready to proceed yes sure all right and I believe Mr balance

was continuing to testify on direct is that correct.
