Good morning, all, bringing you a story again from the state of Idaho.

Overnight, two firefighters were killed responding to a brushfire by a sniper.

Extremely bizarre case, right? Like, why would a sniper set up and purposely apparently

start a fire to bring these firemen to this area and then shoot and kill two of them and critically

injure one.

Firefighters, according to the New York Times,

firefighters were responding to a blaze in the panhandle of Idaho when the shooting happened.

The body of a suspect was recovered on Sunday evening,

so apparently they have the shooter.

A gunman deliberately started a wildfire in a rugged mountain area of Idaho

and then shot at firefighters who responded,

killing to and injuring another on Sunday afternoon

and what the local sheriff described as a total ambush.

Law enforcement officers exchanged fire with the gunmen

while the wildfire burned.

Officials later found the body of a male suspect on the mountain with a fireman nearby.

According to Sheriff Robert Norris of Kutonai County, he said that at a news conference on Sunday night.

The authorities said they believed the suspect had acted alone but they did not release any

information about his identity or his motives this was a total ambush according to sheriff
