As you know, the podcast, Scotland Outdoors, is actually built from a live program we do from BBC Radio Scotland.

And on a week in Scotland where it's been absolutely bitterly cold, I mean really, really freezing.

What else would we talk about except for ice? I hope you're listening to this, Tucked up in bed, nice and cozy and warm,

because I'm standing here in hill walking boots, smart wool socks, thermal drawers, over trousers,

and my backside is still frozen. Minus eight, I passed through this morning, minus eight. I've got a

fire on as big as I can make it. Good morning. I'm Mark Stephen live freezing from the BBC

Yeah, deep, crisp snow, absolutely frosty here. It's delightful morning. The stars are out.
