New details are emerging about yesterday shooting at an ICE field office in Dallas that killed a detainee and injured two others.

The suspected shooter was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Prosecutors say authorities searched the gunman's home and found handwritten notes where he admitted to acting alone.

That morning, gunshots sprayed the length of the building, the windows, and law enforcement vans that were in the Sallyport area.

He called the ICE employees people showing up to collect a dirty paycheck.

He hoped his actions would terrorize ICE employees and interfere with their work, which he called human trafficking.

And this, what he did, is the very definition of terrorism. Federal investigators say the shooting was months in the

making. They say the suspected gunman fired, quote, indiscriminately from the roof of another

building to target ICE agents. The attack was at least the fourth instance of violence or threat

at an ICE or Customs and Border Protection

facility in Texas this year.
