If you have the premium membership, you saw that Greg Barnes did a column on the Smith Center debate.

And Greg, there's a lot to talk about across college athletics with Indiana win the national championship and Carolina's place in that.

But I feel like Roy Williams stepping into the Smith Center debate, at least publicly, is big news for North Carolina and North Carolina basketball.

Your overall thoughts here, I mean, it's a lot.

There's a lot going on in this Smith center,

what to do with the Smith Center.

And Roy has just ratcheted it up going public with this statement.

Yeah, for sure.

And I think it kind of speaks to Roy being the standard bear for the program.

And I'm kind of stepping into Dean Smith's shoes.

And Roy has been part of the North Carolina basketball family for a long time.

Clearly had a lot of success as a coach, both as an assistant and, of course, as the head coach winning a trio of national titles during his time in Chapel Hill.

And so if anyone has the right to share their opinion on subject matter pertaining to the basketball program, it's Roy Williams.

And with him coming out in the way that he did kind of in a forceful video just

expressing his support for staying at the Smith Center and really kind of drawing on

conversations that he had had with Dean Smith. You know it's impactful. It speaks volumes and

there's there's been a push that we've highlighted and reported on over the past month of some stakeholders,
